Peter’s first and second letters are books in the New Testament. The writer of these books is Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ. In his first letter, Peter writes about patience at times of persecution. Peter encourages the churches suffering from persecution to be steadfast like Jesus Christ and not leave the true path. In his second letter, he warns against false teachers. Peter says that Jesus’ second appearance is being delayed, so that more people have a chance to abandon the evil and choose the true path.
